Our mission at Under Angel's Wings Recovery Center is to provide professional and dedicated services that build hope, healing and renewal for those impacted with substance use disorder and related mental health concerns. Through a hands-on, integrative approach, Under Angel's Wings Recovery Center seeks to heal patients physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and socially, by cultivating the resiliency and strengths of our clients and creating hope for the future.
Our Foundations
Under Angel's Wings Recovery Center was founded in 2022 by Owner and Chief Executive Officer, Monika Siergiej, RN and Chief Operating Officer, Anna Maria Mendez, Advanced CASAC.
Monika first began building her business plan in the spring of 2019 after her experience of supporting a loved one through addiction rehabilitation. Monika is a registered nurse who has been practicing for over twenty years, and has been serving Sunset Park, Brooklyn as an emergency room nurse at NYU Langone for the past six years. Between these personal and professional experiences, Monika has seen firsthand the incredible and increasing need for addiction support services and the toll substance use disorder takes on individuals, families, and communities.
Maria, in addition to being an Advanced CASAC, NCAC1, has provided her services as an expert in outpatient addiction treatment programs for the past twenty years. Although she has mostly been focusing on training future CASACs at her education and training facility Educational Enhancement, when Maria met Monika through a mutual friend, she knew it was the right time to go back to overseeing program operations.
Together, Monika, Maria, and the whole Under Angel's Wings team are excited to bring you quality support and care.
